Borden occurs as village located immediately south west of Sittingbourne, Kent, from which these are separated by the little metropolitan area of rural land. A title derives from either bor (hill) then either from either denu (vale) or even denn (timber pasture). Borden wwhen number one recorded in the 12th century as Bordena.
A village centre is clustered around a church, which is dedicated to Saints Peter & Paul & is at least 800 years old.
A Church of England primary school and a local hostel (A Maypole) come as well in the centre.
In a parish come many hamlets, including Hearts Delight & Chestnut Street. Farming within the area is the independent industry, although this has been in decline for numerous years due to the "scrubbing" of virtually all of the cherry & more fruit woodlet.
Now Borden is growing by owning recently houses & has greater ties by using Sittingbourne. Several residents currently commute to major even towns or London to function.
